Please contact me if you would like to apply for a web hosting account. (NOTE: Approval is not necessary for Malloy Web Services clients. If we built your site, you are automatically eligible to host it with us.)

Although this is rarely needed, you can have peace of mind knowing that there are there level 3 technicians on site 24 hours per day who are authorized to handle problems immediately on the spot. No phone calls, no red tape, no waiting... just fast action when you need it most.
If you have been around the web hosting game for any length of time, then you already know that this apparently simple luxury is sadly not the industry norm. If you're new to this kind of thing, please read the following aside.
A word about web hosting, pyramid reselling and phone tag support
What is "pyramid" reselling? Suppose Company-X leases server rack space at a large public co-location facility. They will sell web hosting accounts on their servers to the general public. When they offer "reseller" hosting, that simply means they are providing space and bandwidth to smaller hosting companies who will then break it up into smaller accounts and resell them. These smaller increments can be purchased by yet even more resellers, who will chop up their piece and resell it... and so on down the line. Multiple layers of reselling begin to pile up. This leads to overcrowded and unstable servers.
Phone tag support is a byproduct of pyramid reselling. Company-X rents space at a large co-location, but they do not have a physical presence at the facility. For on-site tech support they might rely on locally based 3rd parties. Then if a hardware failure occurs for example, the on-site techs might not be able to take action - or sometimes legally touch the server - until its owner (Company-X) is contacted. If for some reason Company-X representatives are not immediately reachable, the server sits offline and broken while everybody waits. Needless to say that poses quite a problem for the many hundreds of resold accounts relying on that server!

Data Center

- Power. Extensive fault tolerance and resilience at every layer. Each facility is protected by Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), featuring redundant battery cabinets and full maintenance bypass cabinets allowing for server upgrades and maintenance without interruption of power.
- Standby. Multiple emergency generators are on permanent standby, featuring over 24 hours of autonomous runtime before refueling is needed. Generators are test run regularly. Generator power is activated automatically in the event of failure by a transfer switch. During transfer, data center load is maintained by UPS, however the generator is active and up to speed within 10 seconds of power failure.
- Environment. Temperature maintained by Redundant Liebert Precision 22-ton up flow air conditioning units. Humidity, along with temperature is precisely regulated. Air filtration systems actively remove foreign particulates from circulation. The entire data center air supply is cycled in minutes.
- Security. Data center access is controlled by electronic security systems and a full compliment of motion detecting security cameras which monitor the entire facility. Access is strictly limited to technical staff. External walls are reinforced poured concrete. The facility is fully managed, which means there are level 3 technicians on site 24 hours per day, allowing incident response times to be kept to a minimum.
